Techniques
Cross fibre frictions
Firm pressure is applied by going against the direction of the muscle fibres. Reduces scar tissue & adhesions, making it ideal for treating injuries and reducing pain
Myofascial release/connective tissue
Gentle stretching to the skin fascia and skin rolling helps to restore flexibility, and eases chronic pain. This is a great way to begin any treatment, particulary to the upper body.
Trigger point therapy
Applies deep pressure on the tender points releasing knots within the fascia. This increases flexibility and reduces pain.
Deep application techniques
In order to work the deeper layers of the muscles, pressure is applied by using forearms, knuckles, fists, elbows. Though pressure is adapted to your comfort level.
STR (Soft Tissue Release)
Precise pressure is applied to a particular muscle, then gently stretching it out. The idea is to lengthen isolated muscle groups. It improves joint range of motion, reduces pain, improves posture and helps with injuries. Physiotherapists use this technique.
MET (Muscle Energy Techniques)
MET aims to strengthen the muscles by applying resistance at the point of bind. This also helps to increase the joint range. Physiotherapist use this technique.
We recommend regular treatments at least once per month.
